Welcome to Season 2008/9

A warm welcome to all Burwood Uniting Canterbury Cricket Club players, officials and supporters for season 2008/09.

The senior season commences on Saturday October 4 and the junior season two weeks after that.

We will be fielding 7 senior sides again, all in the synthetic two day competition of the Eastern Cricket Association.

BUCCC will also field 7 junior sides which include -

  • 1 x Under 10
  • 2 x Under 12
  • 2 x Under 14
  • 2 x Under 16

Club improvements

Apart from new nets there are other improvements at the club this season -

  • New bowling machine;
  • New pitch is being laid on Lynden Lower, nearest to pavilion;
  • Redevelopment of the pavilion at Lynden Park (including a new function room) has been put out to tender by Boroondara Council.
    (Work is expected to commence in November 2008)

2008/08 Player Subscriptions

A reminder that annual subscriptions are now due, and senior players should have completed and returned their Subscription Invoice which includes an order for a playing shirt for the season (see attached).
