Season 2013/2014 Info
The 2013/2014 season will kick off on Saturday October 5 with Week One of 2 Day game for our 1st to 5th teams. The 1 Day teams and the Junior teams will commence the following weekend, October 11 & 12.
It is with great pleasure that we welcome two great new sponsors to the club for the 2013/2014 Season.
Sofia's Restaurant in East Burwood have come on board and are offering vouchers for 1 free large pizza in recognition of outstanding performances in each round for the seniors, and are sponsor two special Sunday Night functions for the Juniors. Make sure that you support Rocky and his staff by visiting the restaurant at 299 Burwood Highway, East Burwood
Burwood Cellars are another great inclusion to our growing list of sponsors. Located at 1340 Toorak Road, they are the fine wine specialists of the area. Pop in and tell them where you are from and they will certainly look after you.
This season we have launched a new Smartphone App available for iOS and Android phones. If you haven't done so yet, please download the App as it will be central to all of our communications this season.

Key Selection Criteria
The right candidate will have a keen interest in developing a talented young playing list to produce consistent results.
The selection criteria will revolve around your ability to :
- Create and clearly communicate a framework to continue to develop the senior squad.
- Develop and implement engaging training sessions for the entire senior playing list.
- Help teach and improve cricket techniques with all players, especially younger players.
- Possess strong leadership & communication skills.
- Show your ability to have played or coached previously at this level or above.
You should have a proven track record in developing batting, bowling and fielding techniques of all players, with experience working with young players.
Burwood Uniting Canterbury C.C. is one of the largest clubs in the ECA, with teams in each of the top 5 grades of the Synthetic section and 2 one day teams. 4 sides made it to the Semi Finals with our 4th XI winning the final. We will represent the ECA next year in the state wide 20/20 competition.
We have facilities (Grounds, Nets & Clubrooms) that all clubs are envious of, Our Junior Development program has seen the emergence of numerous talented juniors that we are looking to complement our senior list.
Our strong club culture has enabled us to sustain 7 senior teams for a number of years, with success through the grades. It is now time with the presence of so many talented juniors for the top 2 sides to develop into a force going forward for many years.
The opportunity exists for someone to join the "Bulls" and help mould the potential into reality. Is this a challenge that interests you ?
